For a more efficient use of the document management system M-Files, companies need master and process data from Business Central to "tag" documents with metadata. With the DMS Connector for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, you can replicate your master and process data from any Business Central table into M-Files objects.

In addition, using the DMS Factbox, you can drag and drop documents onto your master or process data in Business Central, which archives them in M-Files in relation to the Business Central data.

This way, your customers, suppliers, contacts, or projects from Business Central are used to "tag" your documents such as offers, orders, invoices, and emails in M-Files.

As soon as a new record is created in Business Central, the DMS Connector generates or updates the record as an M-Files object in M-Files. The DMS Connector is easy to set up and configure, without requiring a major implementation project or significant investment of time and IT resources.

With the DMS Connector, documents such as invoices, delivery notes or external documents and e-mails can be easily linked to master data and processes from Business Central Online and transferred to M-Files. For optimised retrieval, all documents are tagged with keywords before transfer. Scanned documents from daily incoming mail can also be easily viewed in your ERP and assigned to the corresponding processes.

In addition to manual data storage (via drag & drop), documents such as outgoing invoices can also be automatically uploaded from your ERP environment to the DMS. In this way, M-Files offers a central data repository for administration and audit-proof archiving. Even without direct access to your ERP system, your colleagues have access to all documents that are within their permission. You always work in your familiar Microsoft Dynamics environment - the documents can be accessed both from the ERP environment and in M-Files.
