Functional Description

The following diagram explains the structure and the functionality of the DMS Connector.

The primary development of the DMS Connector takes place as a build-in application (app) or extension in Business Central. Business Central is where the records and fields are configured to be transferred or replicated to M-Files via REST API. The interface is designed as a unidirectional interface from Business Central to M-Files. Purchasing the solution also gives you access to the DMS Connector Vault Extension App for M-Files, which accepts the data from Business Central and translates it into M-Files commands (see Setup in Business Central)

The functionality of the DMS Connector can be divided into three main functions:

• Replication of master and transactional data from Business Central to M-Files

• Automatic PDF archiving of Business Central reports

• Drag and drop -- linking documents to master data and operations
