Traveller Data

The traveller data is taken from the member contact of LS Central. This means the cashier does not have to enter the traveller information in the Global Blue user interface but can maintain it as master data in advance or directly at the point of sale.

Relationship

When issuing, the solution uses the [Member Card No.] entered on the sales transaction to determine the corresponding membership card and from there the member contact. If one of the two links is missing, the issuing stops with a corresponding message.

Note

The cashier records the membership card during the sale. Only then is the traveller data available for the Tax Free Form.

Used fields of the member contact

Information Field in the member contact
Salutation and gender [Salutation Code], [Contact Gender]
Name [First Name], [Surname]
Address [Address], [Post Code], [City], [County]
Country of residence [Country/Region Code]
Date of birth [Date of Birth]
Contact details [Mobile Phone No.], [E-Mail]

Additional fields for Global Blue

The solution adds four fields to the member contact:

Field Description
[GB Tax Registration No.] Tax registration number of the traveller.
[GB Traveller Identifier] Identifier of the traveller assigned by Global Blue.
[Status of Residence] Residence status of the traveller.
[Nationality] Country of nationality. The user selects a country code from the master data.

Which of these entries are actually transferred is controlled by the user in the issue model. Information that is not transferred can be added by the traveller in the Global Blue user interface.

Travel document

Information about the travel document, for example type and number of the passport, is not taken from LS Central. The traveller enters it in the Global Blue user interface.
