Countries and Languages

Global Blue uses its own codes for countries and languages. So that the information about the traveller and the user interface is transferred correctly, the user adds these codes to the master data of Business Central.

Countries

The user opens the overview by searching for „Countries/Regions“.

Field Description
[ISO Code] Two-letter country code according to ISO 3166 (standard field of Business Central).
[ISO Numeric Code] Numeric country code according to ISO 3166 (standard field of Business Central).
[ISO Code 3] Three-letter country code according to ISO 3166.
[ICAO Code] Country code according to ICAO as used in travel documents.

Which of these codes are transferred is controlled by the user in the issue model. The codes are used for the country of residence and the nationality of the traveller.

Warning

If a country value is marked as mandatory in the issue model, the country concerned must exist in the master data. Otherwise the issuing stops with an error message.

Languages

The user opens the overview by searching for „Languages“.

Field Description
[GB UI Language Code] Language code that Global Blue expects for the display of the user interface, for example „de“ or „en“.

The language code is assigned per POS terminal through the field [UI-Language] on the POS Terminal Card. If no code is entered, the solution uses „en“.
