Returns and Exchanges
If a sale is reversed in whole or in part, the corresponding Tax Free Form has to be adjusted as well. The solution therefore intervenes automatically in the standard processes of LS Central, so that the cashier does not have to perform any additional steps.
Retrieving a receipt for a return
If the cashier retrieves a receipt for a return and a Tax Free Form exists for it, a confirmation question appears:
There is a Tax-Free form linked to this sale. Are you sure you want to continue, because it would void the Tax-Free form?
| Answer | Behaviour |
|---|---|
| Confirm | The Tax Free Form is voided at Global Blue and the receipt is retrieved for the return. |
| Cancel | The process is cancelled, the Tax Free Form remains valid. |
Voiding and copying a receipt
The same question appears when a receipt is voided and copied. If the cashier confirms, the Tax Free Form is voided before the receipt is voided.
Reissuing after a partial return
If only individual lines are returned, the original sale is still partially eligible for a refund. After the return or exchange transaction has been completed, the solution therefore automatically starts issuing a new Tax Free Form for the remaining lines. The cashier follows the same process as when issuing.
Note
If all lines of the receipt are returned, the reissuing is omitted. Only the original Tax Free Form is voided.
